Heart of Gold Awards
The mission of the Dameron Hospital Foundation is to provide the funds necessary for updating medical equipment and facilities at Dameron Hospital and to support the hospital in its endeavor to promote a healthier community. The Heart of Gold Award is a special recognition of those individuals who have served Dameron Hospital through philanthropic acts and/or gifts. The Annual Trustee Dinner and Heart of Gold Award Dinner is the annual meeting of the Dameron Hospital Foundation. The meeting includes election and installation of trustees and officers of the Foundation.

Scholarships
A commitment to the profession of nursing is a long and proud tradition at Dameron. Since 2001, the Dameron Foundation, community members, and employees of Dameron have joined together to award $40,000 in nursing scholarships.

Providing for other clinical areas in need of employees, such as ultrasound and radiology technicians and respiratory therapists, depends greatly on the generosity of our corporate friends.

Dameron's commitment to education is reflected in scholarships and "Young Scrub" tours for our youth. In 2004, for example, Dameron Foundation Scholarship Recipients received $10,000. Recipients included:
